With temperatures below the freezing point it becomes extremely dangerous for people who are experiencing homelessness to sleep outside. That’s why Code Blue comes into effect when temperatures dip to 35 degrees or below. Chester County’s service providers are implementing special measures to keep people without a home safe. Warming centers and free hot meals can help during the day, while Code Blue Shelters provide a warm place at night.
All requests for emergency shelter and Code Blue Shelter in Chester County are coordinated through ConnectPoints. If you, or someone you know, are in need of Code Blue Shelter, call ConnectPoints as soon as possible. The number is 1-800-935-3181 (open from 9am – 5pm).
